Windows 10: Laptop brightness flickering when plugged in?

My laptop screen brightness has just started flickering randomly dimming for a few seconds, then returning to normal for a few seconds, and so on, which only seems to be happening when it’s plugged in. It’s also had a problem for a while where it will run exceptionally slowly when plugged in or on low battery, despite performing fine otherwise. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Can't adjust brightness when the power plugged or unplugged

Hi there,

• Previous status:

brightness 100%, plugged in; brightness 50%, unplugged.

When I unplugged the laptop, the brightness will decrease down to 50%. And will increase back to 100% when the laptop plugged in back automatically.

• Current status:

Always keep the last brightness setting, no matter laptop plugged in or unplugged, the brightness doesn't change.

Is there any way to fix this problem? Thanks!

 

Screen flickering in HP pavillion laptop

I have an HP Pavillion laptop but I have an issue regarding screen flickering from a few days ago. the display doesn't flicker at a certain brightness. if I change the brightness level screen start to flicker on battery mode if it is connected to the AC
power supply it doesn't flicker. I have tried many options like updating drivers and others it is not a window issue because I used dual-booted pc ubuntu and windows 10. On both the OS i faced the same problem. please give me a suggestion as i have frustrated
from the problem

 

Screen flickers on new ACER Aspire laptop when not plugged in

Hi,

I bought a new ACER Aspire laptop only about a week ago, and I have noticed that the screen flickers/blinks when it's running on battery. I have two GPUs in this laptop: an Intel(R) UHD Graphics 620, and an NVIDIA GeForce MX150.

I've tried uninstalling the Intel graphics card in Safe Mode, and then installing all the newest windows updates, like one site suggested, but it didn't seem to fix the problem. Other sites suggested I lower the screen brightness (it's on the minimum at
the moment and still happening), so that didn't work either.
