Windows 10: Laptop BSOD after update and increasing in severity with issues

Hello,A couple of months ago I got a blue screen of death when I turned on my Lenovo IdeaPad 320 laptop after a Windows update. I rebooted my it and everything was fine until the next update, which gave me more BSODs after start ups or something simply as launching Google Chome. I've noticed my disk usage was almost constantly at 100% dunno if this is normal but it sure doesn't seem like it, and browsers like Google Chrome and Windows Edge were freezing constantly. Eventually my problems got to the point where right-clicking and clicking on "Properties" on an image would do nothing. Another

This is most likely due to an installation/upgrade error with ATI driver's. I suggest doing DriveSweeper and the following:

• Drivesweeper all drivers & in Safe Mode
• Unistall all drivers that aren't used in DriveSweeper (CCC Profiler Updates, MSI AfterBurner, anything related to ATI that use's it's drivers.)
• After you do this, the first thing you need to do is go into Device Manager and Unistall your ATI Drivers

Once your done, restart the PC and then try installing the latest drivers.


I had several issues with this in the past, but I overcame it with logical reasoning and whenever I have a driver issue, I just use these steps and I always overcome the problem.

Laptop starts work slower and shows BSOD

No, there was no minidump file.

After 4th BSOD, I did the following:

• installed last Windows updates,
• replaced Sleep with Hibernate (suggestion from here - Asus Zenbook Crash After Sleep - Kernel Power Event ID 41 ),
• performed Battery Reset - (suggestion from here - The Technologically Inclined Theologian: Zenbook Prime and the Unexpected Shutdown Problem ),
• removed some visual effects, reduced number of programs in autorun and disabled windows search for increasing overall performance.

Hopefully, it will solve the issue. I'll post here if BSOD will happen again.

 

Several "CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED" BSODs on my laptop

I reinstalled Windows, and my laptop did a BSOD again. It didn't save the dump file. The dump file I posted above was the only exception, and the only one that saved through the several crashes that have happened on my laptop. I'm assuming this is a hardware
error now, but I can't find any hardware errors. I've ran memtest and internal diagnostics for hours. No errors were shown.

My BSODs are a mix of "CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED" and "MEMORY_MANAGEMENT", the former being a tad more common. I'm not sure what step to take at this point.

EDIT:

I've also used Driver Verifier (no BSOD happened) and updated all my drivers/BIOS prior to the crash.
