    Laptop buzzes, freezed and crashed

I was browsing the internet, suddenly my laptop makes a very loud buzzing sound and the screen froze, stopped responding...I had to do a hard shut down. Couldn't find anything in event viewer. I went to the reliability monitor and found a hardware error: (Is there a way to do spoilers?)

    "Description

I click on "View a temporary copy of these files" to get more details but nothing happens...I think I managed to find one .dmp file, I have attached it. I don't know how to view or read it.

    win32k.sys-20161129-2113.zip

I think this might be a BSOD? Even thought I didn't see any blue screen...in that case may a mod move it to the appropriate section? If it is indeed, I followed the instructions to upload the zip file containing the crash information.

Other than that the laptop runs fine. But I've had some strange graphical glitches lately, usually when watching videos on the internet.
Thank you for anyone who can help!

    :)

  2. Windows 10 freezing and buzzing

I did uninstall the driver and install it again. Still not fixed.

I did find a way to fix the freezing and buzzing though. But I still get crashes. It's not from overheating.

Hello mate some system specs would be helpful not many in your profile and it is hard not knowing what one is dealing with.

In msinfo there are no problem devices listed as I always check for those first. The loud buzzing sound is a worry if it around mains power frequency (usually 50 - 60 Hz) The other thing that could be buzzing is the hard drive and as I don't know if you have a spinner or SSD it is hard to say.

From reading your post the first thing I would suspect is that the video card is going bad. This is only a guess. I would suggest that you make sure you have everything backed up to a external drive.

    Laptop buzzes, freezed and crashed

No mate but if Winuser is correct then it may be a real problem unless I am terrin[bly mia[staken the GPU is attached to the board - the machine I am on right now is an Asus ROG machine and it has a dedicated GPU along with the Intel graphics - see this Intel Core™ i7-4500U Processor (4M Cache, up to 3.00 GHz) Specifications the intel graphics are embedded in with the CPU .

Now I do believe that the NVidia chip does not cut in until the going gets tough ie light gaming and general stuff like YouTube is handled by the Intel graphics ( Intel HD Graphics 4400) and heavy gaming the machine switches over to the NVidia chip.

Now can you go to Device Manager in the Control Panel open up each device and see if there are any yellow triangles alongside any of those devices please - it will be interesting to see if the items in the pic have triangles

So can you go to Device manager Intel® HD Graphics 4400

I went through device manager, no yellow triangles. I checked all of the devices

Can you explain why? I am just curious, I don't know how to read any of this information.

In your post you mention that you received message that a problem with your hardware caused Windows to stop working. Then you posted that you are having some strange graphical glitches. Another possibility is a problem with your network card. Can you try accessing the internet with a different network card and disable the one you are now using? For example if your using wireless can you try using a wired connection and disable your wireless card to see if this solves your problem. If it's your network card you may be able to replace it. I had to replace my wireless card on a laptop one time. In my case my card stopped working.

Hmm well I wanted t see if there were any triangles in that list only to pin down anything if there was a problem with the hardware.
Now if there are no triangles in anything - in RAM no? then it seems to have to be software related.

Can you please hit Start type in "msinfo" (no quotations) go into that output and open up Components > go to problem devices and see if there is anything listed there see my pic Now you can also open up the various things in the msinfo readout and check the various hardwares for example

I can't replace the wireless card unfortunately. I get the feeling it's not the internet or internet card, maybe some graphics issue but then again I'm not sure by any means.

    No problem devices listed.
Here's an example of the problem while watching a video on the internet for example:

Should I try to uninstall the Intel HD Graphics Family software from my device manager? I'm thinking it's the that, and I can't download a driver from either acers website or intel's website as they don't seem to be working. I get the error message "The driver being installed is not validated for this computer. Please obtain the appropriate driver from the computer manufacter." even if I download the VGA driver from acer's website.

Wow that isn't good eh? and seems I have to agree with Winuser in that the network card must be faulty and if it is the GPU then I think I mentioned before they usually soldered into the board unless the machine you have got has a removable one. That is a fair bit of work to do though.

Have you run any GPU tests on the machine yet? If not try this FurMark: VGA Stress Test, Graphics Card and GPU Stability Test, Burn-in Test, OpenGL Benchmark and GPU Temperature | oZone3D.Net and it might be worth watching this first How to your GPU - YouTube - on another machine of course.
