Windows 10: Laptop can't get internet from router

Since a few days ago my laptop no longer is able to get internet through my home WiFi.All other devices can use the home WiFi no problems and the laptop can't connect to mobile hotspots and use their internet. It can even connect to a hotspot that is using the home WiFi.I'm perplexed. I've tried everything in this thread https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/laptop-cant-access-wi-fi-but-other-devices-can/35e32822-7026-47eb-80f9-ac3c3da32f9fAnd the usual things like resetting the router. Any other ideas?

Not good news... It depends on why OP wants to use his router... If it's because he want the Wifi performance "Only" the routers can be connected cascaded: internet-->Wan-T-Mobile-Lan-->Wan-Router-Lan-->Network But you wont be able to publish any services on the internet Without DMZ or Bridge mode. Or Side by side: Internet-->Wan-T-Mobile-Lan-->Lan-Router-Lan-->Network Both router with different IPs on the same Lan. But this way you are not routing with your router anymore, the routing will occur on the T-Mobile. Depending on the options available it could suite your needs. Or: you mentioned that your router supports "access point only" mode... If the option in the T-Mobile are ok for you, You could also do that. It would be the most simple way.

 

Windows XP to internet provider router

I have a computer that still runs on Windows XP that was given to me about 2 yrs. ago & I recently just got an ethernet cable 3 wks. ago to connect the router to the computer. Because the computer runs on XP, I need step by step instructions on how to get
the list of internet providers on my computer to have the internet going through my provider. Can you do that for me? Is there step by step instructions for me to follow? Please help me with that.
