Windows 10: Laptop completely changed after windows update

My laptop Legion 5 automatically updated this morning around 4AM Suddenly some F keys are not working on my keyboard nor are the numbers above the letters. I can only use the number lock numbers. Sometimes the calculator keeps popping up and whenever I try to log into something strange numbers are pasted into the line. Nor do the symbols above the numbers work when I use shift. My touchpad sometimes also turns off. What is happening? I have not had this issue prior the update

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

I suggest you to run the Windows Update troubleshooter and check if it helps.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Update. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Windows update.

Refer these steps:

  Change the view by option on the
  top right to Large icons.

  Click on troubleshooting and click on the
  view all option on the left panel.

To turn off windows updates in windows 7 follow these steps:

Click the start button, in the search box type in 'windows updates', click on 'windows update'
in the search results list, in the left side of the windows update window click 'change settings'
then in the option bar select 'Never check for updates'.
