Windows 10: Laptop crashed and programs were deleted after an update

Hello,

I have an HP laptop that is about a year old. I have Microsoft 365 installed as well as a few other applications. Recently a family member clicked on an Update request from Microsoft. The computer was updating for some time. When it stopped, all of our documents, data and every Microsoft Office Application was GONE! We lost our email accounts and basically everything!


I am ready to put the computer into the trash, but was just wondering if there is anything I can do to try and reset it to the way it came from the factory? We have no idea what happened, but needless to say programs and files simply disappeared. Strangely enough, I reinstalled Microsoft Outlook and Word back onto the laptop. They actually worked for a while, but last week after starting the computer back up, those programs had once again disappeared from the computer.

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?? Many Thanks,

Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

If another version works, it would be one set of steps.
If several other versions also fail/crash, then it would be another.
