    Laptop didn't detect the main display; System instability


    Hi everyone, I need help, I'm out of ideas . My laptop didn't detect the main display. Sometimes the problem occurs after the device has started or gone to sleep. I use a second screen connected via HDMI cable , the second screen works well when plugged in . I also notice that sometimes when I start the laptop; the HP BIOS logo is displayed and then everything goes black. It is by using the 2nd monitor that I can use the laptop . I think it's not a hardware problem since the HP logo appears but after that the system does not appear. Are there any commands or manipulations to reset the Windows

    Hi,

    In regards to your concern, since the second screen can't detect the display settings of your other laptop, we suggest that you perform the steps below and see if it helps:

    • Go to Settings.
    • Click on System.
    • Under System, choose Display.
    • Under Multiple displays, click on Duplicate these displays and apply.

    Laptop display does not detect itself

    Hi,

    I only have 1 computer (the laptop) and 1 external monitor. The laptop cannot detect its own screen.

    So when I follow your steps, this is what happens:

    • Go to Settings. (Done)
    • Click on System. (Done)
    • Under System, choose Display. (Done)
    • Under Multiple displays, click on Duplicate these displays and apply. (Done)
    • But then I undock my laptop and redock. Re-login, etc.
    • Only the external display turns on. The laptop does not turn on its own display. In order to get the laptop display to wake up, I need to follow steps 1-4 again. The settign "Duplicate these displays" does not seem to be retained.

    activesync doesn`t detect my Tytn II

    Yes after installation SP3 , my desktop didn`t detect Tytn II at all. No activesync connection.

    However I have tried to do sync operation thorugh my Laptop ( which had SP2 ), and at the same time it didn`t detect my Tytn II.



    I didn`t try system restore. How can I try it ?
