Windows 10: Laptop dies instantly when unplugged from power

I have a GIGABYTE Aero 17 laptop and been using it for the past 4~5 years and didn't encounter any battery problems. My laptop dies instantly when disconnected from the power source, the battery icon says "charging" but it's stuck at 31%, doesn't go up nor down I tried opening the laptop and leaving it all night while the battery is disconnected then I held the power button for 30sec without battery, reconnected the battery again to see if things got fixed but it's the same problem. PS : the "charging battery is actually on" when I connect the power while the battery is hooked. Thanks in adv

Windows won't boot up when unplug laptop power source

The problem is that, if i didn't unplug the power source from the laptop(ie : i just leave it connected to the power source) the laptop can boot just fine. The problem happens when i unplug the power source, and plug in back with the power source, the laptop
will go black screen after the acer logo

 

Laptop dies without power supply even tho battery says it has charge


My laptop (HP 15 Notebook PC) won't boot unless it is plugged in even though the battery apparently has charge. (It won't charge past 73% also?) If I unplug the power supply it will die instantly. This started happening yesterday after I installed the latest windows 10 update and I just wanted to see if It is software thing before I go and buy a new battery, any help appreciated thanks.
