Windows 10: Laptop display glitching and frozen, can't fix

Hello, everyone!Some weeks ago I was using my laptop and everything was perfectly normal. I decided to increase the storage capacity by upgrading its hard disk. I cloned the original hard disk into the new one and installed it. Everything was fine for a couple weeks, I had no issues. However, in the past days the screen suddenly goes unresponsive and glitchy, it appears full of pixelated glitchy bars that flicker. The first time it happened, I connected an external monitor and the external monitor was able to show everything properly. I rolled back the display driver and immediately everything

Is that correct?

How do you know its the display that's bad?

Just google "how to change display on a acer 5745"

Should get you to step by step instructions. But first make sure its the display that's bad

I would like to note that step 20 comes up with no files. Perhaps this could be the source of the issues?

 

glitching screen and glitching videos

Hello,

Recently my laptop screen started to freckle\glitch while playing videos either on the internet or on my laptop so I followed steps suggested as to uninstall and re-install the graphics update however, it happened again not so long after I did that (1 day later) and I fixed the display and so it stopped but the videos appear to be glitched? like I could see the RGB (there is a color stroke that appears ONLY while watching videos and I tried to take a screenshot and while trying to trim the photo I found it looking normal so it's only via videos
