Windows 10: Laptop display won't stay turned off

    Laptop display won't stay turned off


    I have my laptop setup to turn off when I press the power button. But over the last month or so, doing this makes it turn off for like a second and turn back on. I've tried unplugging everything, restarting, having no programs open, and none of these have fixed the issue.

    I switched to making the button put my laptop to sleep but that was a temporary fix because now it turns back on a few minutes after it goes to sleep.

    At this point the only way to have my display off is to close it.

    Can someone please help me?

    I would like to note that step 20 comes up with no files. Perhaps this could be the source of the issues?

    I'm typing a letter in word, it was fine then started using all caps it won t turn them the usual way
