Windows 10: Laptop does not shutdown cleanly on "Restart" command

Laptop running Windows 10When I perform Shutdown, the display shows "Shutting Down" and after several seconds the system shutsdown cleanly and powers off as expected.When I perform Restart, the display shows "Restarting" for several seconds, then the system powers off. It does not RestartOn power up, the event log has entry Critical. ID 41 "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first"

Cortana Shutdown,Restart command

Hi Acelyn,

• Yes I am able to set Cortana settings but I never use 'Shutdown' or 'Restart' command.
• I tried it first time at yesterday
• There isn't any error messages but always open browser(Edge)
• I have tried with rename shortcuts.change path,speak with or without mic,train Cortana to recognize my voice.
• Other command like "Open Google Chrome" "Open Calculator" are works fine.

 

Hard drive/ OS issue

• unhooked HDD
• restarted
• yay !!
• reconnected HDD
• restarted
• yay !!
