Windows 10: Laptop fan randomly turning on

I have this dell inspiron that i use for school. Usually after school i just put my laptop on sleep mode and stuff into my bag but for some reason the fan kept turning on when it's not supposed to and the stuff in my bag became a bit... "toasty".So because of that my computer kept overheating and i'm just wondering if it's something with windows or i should contact dell.

Note that, depending on your laptop, any direct control of the fan may not be possible. I suggested the one above as it seems aimed at laptops in particular- but I've not tried it.

E.g. Speedfan lists no fan on my Thinkpad.

Ok, I've now tried NoteBook FanControl for you.
It has preset configurations for different machines: e.g.




which for my t440s gives




- whereas Speedfan didn't seem to achieve anything, I'm afraid. Presumably you looked at the config editor...

 

Laptop Randomly Restarts / Turns Off and comes on with No Wifi

I dont get any errors when the laptop restarts, but it happens randomly and instantly everything shuts down with no warning. Its not like a restart because it doent say restart it just turn off. And sometimes switches ot self back on.

I dont think I have downloaded any applications to cause the problem.

Te problem happens randomly, i think most of the time when im using the internet or using cpu heavy applications. But i think it happens randomly.

I tried the troubleshootin and it doest have the wifi adapter when it randomly shuts down. It just shows ethernet and bluetooth adapter. When i restart it again wifi works.

 

Fan randomly starts at high speed

While not doing any cpu intensive tasks, my fan has started up randomly very fast, and i have to restart my laptop to make it go back to normal
