Windows 10: Laptop fan spins terribly

Hi Team WindowsI have an issue with different laptop brands loaded windows 10 and windows 11.The fan spins terribly for a longer time while working on a spreadsheet or outlook, basically list resources consumed.This has nothing to do with low ram or low hard drive space.The same issue happens just after logging on to the laptop.I suspect this could be a windows update bug, I am not really sure I would like to check if anyone has experienced the same issue and solution.

are you people ignoring what i said??

i've done this before. windows 7 has nothing to do with it. the fan on a laptop is driven by the bios. And when the chip gets hot the fan spins.

i can be 99% its dirty and clogged and is not letting it spin.

blow it out. if that doesn't work, take it apart and check the fan.

the fan may be broken, but its not software related.

 

Laptop fan spins up to max for no obvious reason

As stated above.

In viewing task manager I tend to see nothing obvious that could be the cause though occassionally something like below occurs.



Once the fan gets going it doesn't appear as if it will stop until I shut my laptop down fully.

Checked my fan physically and no dust.

Replaced thermal compound between cpu and heat sink.

Scanned with windows defender and malwarebytes to find nothing.

Appears to ramp up randomly. Played an intensive game without issue.

I figured it might be related to using my browser - Mozilla. Deleted all history/cookies etc, switched to edge.

Tried to eliminate as many programs to find anything to the point of resetting win10.

Not sure what to do now. Any ideas?

Disconnecting from internet = no change

Process explorer = 97-99% idle

Checking BIOS version = most up to date

Sent in support ticket - Awaiting response

Acquired SpeedFan - Unable to add any fan controller

Acquired NoteBook FanControl - Able to target fan speed in steps of 25%. Will spin up to max at any stepping other than 0%. Appears as if tilting my laptop can set the fan off to max. Currently using 0% target fan to bring it back down.

title says it all.
last night, in the middle of an essay, my laptop forcefully shutdown.
i wondered why until i felt the bottom of it. it almost burnt my hand, it was incredibly hot.
now ive been keeping a close eye on it and i have found out that the only cooling fan on the laptop wont spin. im not sure if it has a temperature threshold or is just broken.

what would you guys suggest be the best cause of action (to both finding out for sure why its doing it, and how to fix it?)?
