    Laptop freezes whenever entering from Tablet to desktop mode


    Hi! I have a big issue which is whenever I switch from tablet to desktop mode my laptop freezes a few seconds or immediately after entering desktop mode. I have already tried finding a "tablet setting", but it just doesn't exist on windows 11. I have scoured the web, but every fix is on windows 10. Also, my laptop is the ideapad flex 5, thought to add this as there might be some fix regarding specific computers, Thanks ahead

    Hi,

    The concern you have encountered may be due to a corrupted file or a misconfigured setting. Windows 10's Tablet Mode provides a more touch-friendly experience by making all applications run at full screen and giving you a Start screen instead of a Start Menu.
    If you have a 2-in-1 device, Windows 10 asks you if you want to enter tablet mode every time you convert your notebook into a slate. Kindly follow the steps below to sort out the concern:

    • Click Settings from the Start menu
    • Click System, then select Tablet Mode in the left panel. A tablet mode submenu appear
    • Toggle "Make Windows more touch-friendly . . ." to on to enable Tablet mode. Or off to go to desktop mode
    • Configure the "When this device automatically switches" menu to let Windows 10 to switch modes on your 2-in-1 prompt or not prompt you.

    Split screen exists when entering tablet mode but remains when entering desktop mode

    Hi,

    I'm a bit stuck. When I have a couple of apps running in split-screen and switch to tablet mode it exits split screen and full screens the last selected app.

    This is seriously annoying.

    However, when I split the screen in tablet mode and enter desktop mode with the exact same apps, this does not occur and they remain running side by side.

    Any suggestions as to how to keep my split-screen when changing modes?

    Tablet Mode doesn't automatically turn on

    Hi Roice,

    We suggest you to follow the below steps to make the tablet mode permanent:

    • Click start and select settings.
    • Select settings and then select tablet mode.
    • Now you have different options to choose from, please choose settings that suits you.
