Windows 10: Laptop froze died and now won't turn on

Hello, I have a Microsoft surface laptop and a few days ago while I was working on it, it completely froze for a while. It froze until it died and after it died it showed me the dead or no battery screen once for a quick flash. After that it quickly shut off and the screen changed to just completely black. Now the screen is still completely black. I've tried draining the battery for 30 seconds and connecting it again, I know the battery works because when I plug it in the charger still lights up whenever it is connected. The laptop is completely unresponsive to the keyboard which also does

• Check and verify if Cortana is activated?
• Does Cortana search and gives any output/result on screen?
• Is the Language and region settings set to valid value?
• Check and verify if Cortana available in your region?

Method 1:

I suggest you to try to turn Cortana off and then try turning it on back and check if she talks. Refer to the steps below to turn Off and On Cortana:

• Open Cortana.
• Click the hamburger button in the top left of the window.
• Go to Settings and click on off.
• Follow the same steps to turn it on.
• Check if issue persists.
