Windows 10: Laptop goes sleeping randomly

My laptop goes sleeping randomly 1. I observed that right before that happens, the Power-LED flashes in yellow color 5 fast flashes. Sometimes when the LEDs flash in that way, I move the mouse to prevent the PC to go to sleep and it appears to work. Because of that LED-flashing I think it might be a Dell-Issue and not a Windows-Issue? After the LED-flashing, for half a second there is a Windows-Screen stating "Locking". After that the PC goes into sleep mode I can wake it up afterwards and the active apps are still there.

I tried a few things which did not work:

* Windows is updated to newest version.
* Screen Saver is turned off also, box "loginpage..." unchecked.
* Automatic Sleep/Standby after some time is deactivated.
* I set the BIOS settings to "defaults".

All this happens since a week or so. I replaced the battery two months ago. Since I could not find a genuine replacement, I built in a third party battery. Another issue that came with the battery replacement: Sometimes the LED flashes yellow slow continuous without consequences until I restart it 2. I am disappointed of dell on the one hand not offering a authentic battery for a PC I bought in ca. 2017 and on the other hand not accepting third party batteries.

Laptop goes to sleep randomly while playing games

Hi,

If your laptop randomly goes to Sleep mode while you're playing, then this may have something to do with the Power options. Try to check if your laptop is set to Sleep mode after a certain minute. Just simply go to Settings, click System, then select Power
& sleep. You can also check the Additional power settings.

Now, if it's still the same after you changed the Power settings, then we suggest that you contact the device manufacturer.

Laptop goes to sleep randomly during use after update.

Hi,

After I updated, my laptop randomly goes to sleep while I am using it. Does anyone have any solutions to this? I am running Windows 10 on a Lenovo IdeaPad 700.
