I need help with my gaming laptop. Here are the specs:GPU: RTX 3050 tiCPU: i7 12650HRAM: 16GBI dont know the source of this problem. My GPU used to run at around 30 degrees celsius when it wasnt being used. But out of nowhere it started to heat up. And now, by just running the desktop, it starts to heat up. At first i thought it was a problem with the power, but thats not the case. I checked the system's temperatures and found out the gpu's temperature was really high for it to not be used. I checked if the gpu was being used at all, but no. It has 0% usage and yet its running at 60 degrees ce

    GPU Overheating

    Hi there,

This is Wil, one of the independent advisor, an expert with Windows 10 and a fellow Windows 10 user like you.

If you are playing a game and your computer shuts down all of sudden, it can really be caused by an overheating GPU or Processor. GPU overheating can only be caused by the card being overworked or there's not enough ventilation on your computer. Check first
the setting of your games and try to lower down the video settings of it. If you would still have the same issue, I would suggest trying to clean your laptop or desktop and make sure that the exhaust fan and ventilation are dust-free. If you are using a desktop
with a dedicated or a separate GPU, try to check if the thermal paste of your GPU processor is not dry and not cracked.

I hope the information I provided will help you. But If you need further assistance, please do reply back and I will research more on this issue, and please wait for my response with additional options for troubleshooting. Have a nice day.

    Thanks,

    Wilfred P.

  3. Laptop overheated while plugged in

    Dear ArunKaluvakolanu,

I'm Dyari. Thanks for reaching out. I will be happy to assist you in this regard.

Since you have reset the computer and the issue still persists, most probably it has a hardware issue, however, try these additional steps and check to see if the issue is still available or not:

1-Plug in the laptop. Let it be overheated, right-click on the taskbar > Task Manager > Process tab > Take a screenshot and post it back. Do you hear a fan spinning when your plug in the laptop?

2-Plug in the laptop. Let it be overheated > click on Start > Settings > Windows update and security > Troubleshoots > Additional troubleshooter > Power > Run troubleshooter.

3-Plug in the laptop. Let it be overheated > Click on Start > Control Panel > Power Options > On the selected power plans, click on Change plan settings > Restore it to default.

4-If it did not help, I would suggest performing a clean install.

5-If the issue still persists even after a clean install, I would suggest testing your laptop with a brand new charger or taking the laptop to a reliable maintenance shop.

Please let me know if you need further assistance and keep me updated.

    Stay safe

  4. Laptop GPU overheating when its doing nothing.

    Laptop gpu overheating

    Hi,

My laptop gpu seems to overheating. (acer aspire 8020)

Everytime the laptop crashes on the windows loading screen.

However, when I boot in safe mode, everything works fine, I mean even if I watch full hd movie everything seems good.

I cleaned everything, no more dust. Brand new thermal paste.

When I touch the gpu heatsink during the normal boot, it becomes really really hot.
