    Laptop Has No Legs Anymore - Laggy!


    Hi,

    I'm not sure where to start with this, and whether this is in the right forum, but I'm in self-isolation, my girlfriend is 38 weeks pregnant and I'm being forced to watch my business crumble from under my feet because of the C-word.

    But anyway, enough about me.

    About 3 weeks ago, my laptop suffered a host load of BSODs in succession - from searching Google, it appears they were all driver & memory-related. Anyway, I did what I thought was right and updated all of my drivers etc and that seems to have fixed the screen of deaths, at least.

    The issue I have now is that my laptop is painfully slow. Not excruciatingly, but enough to make certain tasks like using Photoshop and playing Football Manager 2020 painful (I have asked in their respective forums with no joy). I am running Windows 10, Version 1909 (OS Build 18363.720)

    I have done everything that I thought was possible to try and resolve this.

    Updated Windows, drivers, graphic cards, removed malware, performed healthchecks - you name it.

    I'm at a lose end, and need my laptop back up and firing to help with my motivation.

    Can anybody help - please?

    Laptop randomly became super laggy and now can’t change brightness

    I was on my laptop yesterday and everything was running fine. My laptop is normally slow and games can be a bit laggy, but still bearable. Randomly, it restarted and ever since that, games have been extremely laggy. It lags and glitches in the main menu.
    I cant even play games anymore due it turning super laggy out of no where. Additionally, i can no longer change the brightness of my laptop. There’s no way i can change it now. I went on settings and the brightness settings vanished.

    Super confused with what happened to my laptop.

    Windows 10 clean install on new laptop is laggy, high disk usage, games lag

    yep, all drivers updated and done ur steps. still laggy windows 10. my laptop has 1tb hdd.
