    Hello, all! I have a quick and simple question.

    I am looking to buy this laptop.

    However, it states that the OS is "Windows 10 Home in S Mode".

    My question is, is it possible/a simple process to revert the OS back to standard Windows 10, or is it effectively "set" in a laptop that comes with "S Mode" as default? I just wish to avoid purchasing something with a truncated, limiting OS that I am unable to change without it being a pain.

    Switching out of S Mode

    I am having trouble switching my laptop out of S Mode. I went through the steps that are listed, and the Windows Store is updated and it won't let me click Get when you go to the screen to switch out of S mode.

    I understand that you like to revert to Windows 10 S Mode.



    • What’s the make and model of the PC?


    Switching out of S mode is one-way. If you switch out of S mode, you'll need to keep using the standard version of Windows 10. However, if your PC came along with the recovery partition, you can use the
    recovery image on the PC to restore the computer back to factory settings, which will help you in getting Windows 10 S edition on the Pc.



    Note:
    Resetting the computer to factory setting will remove all applications & data from hard drive and reinstall the original operating system. I suggest you all you backup important data before performing a factory reset.

    I have a laptop running Windows 10 in S mode. Will downloading the newest version of Edge delete S mode? ( I hate it when things change too much!!) Also, I've heard that S mode is not all that great, but it does make things go pretty fast and I'm enjoying
