Windows 10: Laptop Hibernates Arbitrality Ater Update of Display Driver from Windows 8 (Driver Version:...

My laptop computer goes into hibernation by itself while I am still using it even with a full battery. The laptop is HP 250 G1 running Windows 10 Home. The computer did not go have this issue when it was running Windows 8. After it upgraded to Windows 10, it would go into hibernation sometimes when I am working on documents or often when playing videos. The problem is less frequent when I unstall the following Windows 10 drivers and install the Windows 8 drivers:

The problem is that as soon as I connect to the internet, the computer auto-updates to the Windows 10 driver and then begins the problem.
IS THERE A WORKAROUND TO THIS PROBLEM? CAN I STOP MY COMPUTER FROM UPDATING THE DRIVER TO THE 9.17.10.4459 VERSION? IS THERE ANOTHER DRIVER I CAN USE THAT RESOLVES THE PROBLEM ALTOGETHER?

NVIDIA Adds Windows 8 to GeForce Driver Update Stack

AMD may have been the first to be out with drivers for its Radeon GPUs that are optimized for Windows 8 (WDDM 1.2), but NVIDIA went a step ahead of "special-releases" for its GeForce drivers, and added Windows 8 to its update stack, meaning that Windows 8 will feature in the list of operating systems to pick from, to download drivers. NVIDIA will constantly update these drivers along with mainline releases for Windows 7/Vista and XP. The latest such driver is 296.17. This driver supports GeForce and Quadro GPUs, and according to NVIDIA, is a quick-update over 295.73 WHQL, with the addition of performance optimization for Blacklight: Retribution.

Windows update reverted display to MS Basic Display Driver

Hi,

Normally, this issue occurs when the drivers were being corrupted or updated after the recent update. Since you've already tried to install the latest driver, we suggest that you roll back to the previous driver and check if it helps to resolve the issue. To
do this, kindly follow the steps below:

• Open Device Manager.
  
• Double-click the device for which you want to roll back to the previous version of the driver, and then click
  Properties.
  
• Under the Driver tab, select Roll Back Driver.
  
• Select OK.
