Windows 10: Laptop is limiting my refresh rate to 60Hz in games but Windows is running in 144Hz

For some reason, my HP Victus 2024 with an AMD Ryzen 5 8645HS processor, RTX 4050 laptop GPU, and 16GB of ram, has been limiting the display to 60Hz even though I have it set to 144Hz. This just happened randomly and the laptop was working beforehand just fine. While scrolling through windows it is displaying 144Hz, but once I go into any game, it goes to 60Hz. I have set the games to uncapped refresh rate and I do not have v-sync on, but it still is limiting it to 60Hz. I have the laptop plugged in but still the same thing, so I know its not limiting the refresh rate because of saving battery

Forza Horizon 4 Refresh Rate Cant Change from 60Hz to 144Hz

Hi i bought the Games Forza Horizon 4 and wanted to play the game on 144Hz. I noticed at the Benchmark my Refresh Rate was on 60Hz so i wanted to change it but there is no Option for it. I already looked up and noticed that some guys had it working to 144Hz
from their Benchmark. What i´ve done so far: I changed in Nvidia Control Panel to Use Max Refresh Rate. I disabled Windows Gamemode and DVR. I reinstalled the Game.

 

Main display limits refresh rate?

I have two monitors that I extend, one with a refresh rate of 144hz and one with 60hz. It's limited to 50hz due to an old GPU and HDMI cable. The latter one is bigger and better apart from the refresh rate, so I want it to be my main display. However, if
I set it like that, the other screen is also limited to 50hz. Is this a bug? Is there a way around it, other than changing the main display?

Laptop display refresh rate wont change even after applying new refresh rate

Okay, so I have an Asus Zephyrus G15. The laptop allows you to switch between 144hz and 60hz. However, it appears my machine is stuck at 144hz. If I set my display to 60hz via 'display adapter properties for display 1' it will apply however it will not
actually change the refresh rate. I have confirmed this by checking with UFO Test: Refresh Rate to confirm the monitor is still at 144hz. The only way I can get the laptop display to go to 60hz is to plug it into an external monitor that is 60hz, that will
then force the laptop to 60hz but as soon as it is unplugged it goes back to 144hz.

I have tried uninstalling driver via DDU and reinstalling drivers. I have also tried resetting windows while keeping files. I have made sure I am on the most up to date BIOS and windows release.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
