Windows 10: Laptop is saying %1 slider of %2

Something happened to it the other night where it was closed and when I powered it on the screen was black the mouse was on but I couldn’t do anything so a put it in automatic repair and it said a windows update couldn’t update properly so I just respect it entirely and wiped everything and restarted and reinstalled windows. After it let me sign up and I tried to long into my account I go privacy and tried to click through I got the %1 slider at %2 how can I wipe it completely and restart without these weird things popping up.

Win10 laptop w/laptop display (no others) labeled 2, can't change to 1

1. The drivers were installed when Windows 10 was installed. There was nothing on the laptop prior to installing Windows 10.
2. I don't have another display to try attaching as suggested.
3. Not sure if it's always been like this or not. I just started looking at the configuration settings a week or so ago.
4. To check hardware status, I've run a bunch of Lenovo tests and update checks. Nothing found.
5. I did the Device Manager suggestion. 2 PnP monitors listed ... clicked "Show Hidden devices" ... found 2 more PnP monitors for a total of 4 ... uninstalled all 4 ... restarted ... same situation. Results: Device Manager now only lists 2 PnP monitors total (no hidden monitors) even though the only monitor is the laptop built-in monitor, but no change on the designation of laptop monitor being number "2" monitor.

Thanks for your help and suggestions. Not sure why it is like this. Might be something like Win10 compatibility, old hardware, or similar.

I've taken enough of your time on this. I can live with it as it is. Might decide to upgrade to a new and current laptop, or just proceed as is. Anyway, your responses are greatly appreciated!

Really, you should be getting a list of laptops you like the look of, narrowing it down and then asking on here which is best.

Asking people for suggestions really doesn't work well as most people only have experience with 1-2 laptops at a time.

Searching all the shopping sites and creating a list for you is a lot of work.

You need to do the work and we can help with the rest.

 

Windows 10 1709 System Restore problems...

That seems to be an attempt at Option 2 in the tutorial, which requires you to
a. Boot to a command prompt (Did you?)
b. You then seem to be mixing steps 3,4 and 5, thus your command is incorrect.

I suggest Option 1 is easier.
