Windows 10: Laptop is stuck on restart page

I signed up for the copilot monthly subscription. Shut word down properly, restarted my laptop and now it has been stuck for over an hour and a half buffering on the restart page. It won't shut down with windows, x and power button. What can I do?

Hi,

Initially, I suggest you to unplug all the external devices connected to the system (except keyboard and mouse) and try to reboot to check if the issue persists.

If your using a laptop then, I suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps

Power Drain

• Unplug the charger and remove the battery of your laptop
• Press and hold the Power button for 30sec.
• Plug the charger/power cord and reboot the system

Also, suggest you to restart the system multiple times and check if it works.

Uninstalled BitDefender, laptop stuck in restart

I have BitDefender Free version on Windows 10. I followed the instructions at How to Uninstall Your Bitdefender Security Solution on Windows to uninstall it. Unfortunately, I followed with Windows 11 process rather than the Windows 10 process. This means uninstalling BitDefender from the APPWIZ.CPL tool rather than BitDefender Security folder. I got no complaint messages, but I was prompted to restart my laptop.



The laptop has been stuck in a startup step for about 10 minutes, with the message "Getting Windows ready. Don't turn off your computer".

1. Could this have been caused by following the Windows 11 process instead of the Windows 10 process?
   
2. At what point should I conclude that it is never going to finish?
   
3. Would it be safe to perform a hard reboot?

Laptop stuck on 0% updating for several days

My partner's laptop is completely stuck on the updating page after a restart and several days later it will not go further than 0%. When I checked online for a solution every method seemed to suggest that the update was running in the background, whereas with my partner's we cannot get the computer to start up at all.

Is there an easy fix for this or is it case of just buying a new one?
