  1. Laptop issue - no nvidia graphics card for gaming after bluescreen

Hi,During a gaming session my laptop bluescreened, and after a reboot, it does not detect my NVIDIA graphics card for gaming, only the slower intel card used for other tasks.Attempts to install NVIDIA drivers result in a bluescreen mid-installation. even with clean install optionI do have a cooling pad so hopefully the card did not overheat and die. What should I do?Specs: Processor - IntelR CoreTM i5-8250U CPU @ 1.60GHz 1.80 GHz RAM - 8,00 GB 64-bit, x64Windows 11 Pro22H2high spec GPU - GeForce MX450other GPU - IntelR UHD Graphics 620 BSOD minidump check:7: kd> !analyze -v*

  3. Windows bluescreen whenever NVIDIA graphics card is enbabled

    Dear all,

I bought a Lenovo Ideapad y50-70 which seems to be working fine whenever I have the NVIDIA gtx 960m graphics card disabled or removed using the device manager and only rely on the integrated intel graphics. However whenever I enable
the NVIDIA card the laptop becomes incredibly slow and often returns bluescreen with either stopcode "dpc watchdog violation" or " driver power state failure" to the point where even logging in becomes (almost) impossible. In that case I have to get lucky
my machine does not bluescreen before I can log in and disable the graphics card taking almost 20 minutes of attempts.

I have been searching for a solution to the bluescreens for a very long time however the solution space is incredibly large due to the fact that the only info I have is 2 stopcodes. I have made many attempts of solving the problem using
solutions suggested on forums like clean installing windows, reinstalling the graphics card and updating it. The graphics card has the latest driver update according to the device manager and I also attempted to update the Graphics card using only the Geforce
Experience program by NVIDIA, this does not change anything either.

My question would thus be: is there any way I could get a more precise diagnostic of what exactly the problem is here, that is, does windows keep some sort of log of bluescreen errors? Secondly is there any way (software or community
service wise) I can have these logs analyzed as I recon they will be rather complex for me to analyze.

    Dear regards,

PS. not sure whether this is the right place for this question

    Nvidia Graphics Card

    Hello Brian,

I request you to try the following steps:

Uninstall and Reinstall the Graphics Card Drivers.

Step 1: Uninstall the Graphics Card
    Drivers

    • Right click on the Start menu.

    • Click on “Device Manager” from that list.

    • Search for the Graphics Card
from the device list, right click on it and then select “Uninstall”. On the un-installation window, if you have an option: “Delete the driver software for this device” you may select that and then remove the corrupted drivers
      from the computer.

    • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete it and then restart the computer if prompted.
After the restart, please go ahead with the next steps to install the latest drivers and check if that resolves the issue.

Step 2: Go to the Computer or Graphics Card
manufacturer’s website and search for the latest Windows 10 drivers available for the
Graphics Card model and then install it by following the instructions given in the website.

I hope this helps you. If you have any further query in future, feel free to contact us. We will be happy to help you.

    Thank you.
