Windows 10: Laptop keeps freezing every time i open it

My laptop keeps freezing after a couple of minutes opening it. I just tried to install windows 10 on my windows 8, but after installing and updating it a problem like this keeps occuring. I tried to restart it multiple times but nothing really worked. And before this happened i turned off my laptop when its on the "it's taking longer than expected" because its overheating so much and it's been on for 12 hours. After opening my laptop i thought everything was fine because my files and apps are still there, but then it started to freeze my screen, can't really move anything. I tried to wait it o

Hi guys, i can't do what both of you has suggested for this laptop cause every time it freeze in widows
it will not be able to reload windows and i have to do a clean install. I already repeated this cycle few times.

Laptop keeps freezing and rebooting

I've had my laptop for a few years. It's an MSI gaming laptop, model number ms-16j9.

A few months back, I was using my laptop and then it suddenly froze and I got the BSOD. After that point, the laptop would literally just keep going into this boot and then freeze at random points. Sometimes freezing during the loading of windows, other times it would successfully load windows and then just freeze once I tried to click on files or do anything on the computer and hence, restart again.

I thought it was an error with corrupted files, so I decided to do a full clean install after backing up my files onto another HD. I deleted and formatted the HD and tried to install windows 10 again, but it just literally will freeze during the installation of windows and then reboot itself and keep freezing. I thought it may be a damaged component of the computer, but I can't tell what it may be. I even tried using a new HD, taking out the SSD and both of those weren't the issue as it still kept freezing and restarting.

Are there any suggestions on how to fix this issue or what could be causing the problem? I don't know if it's a component inside that is malfunctioning like the CPU, GPU or something else, but it's so strange how sometimes it works for a while and then freezes and restarts, but other times it just will freeze within 20 seconds of restarting itself.
