Windows 10: Laptop keeps on rebooting after installing windows 10 from 8.1

    Laptop keeps on rebooting after installing windows 10 from 8.1


    I tried to install a fresh version of Windows 10 using usb. I went through the steps and after the set up completed, it showed me an error message stating "The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error" message, I google the error and found out that we had to make some changes in the regedit. But the problem is my that my laptop keeps getting restarted while I change the value in the regedit. Is there any fix for this, or am I done with the laptop now?

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
