Windows 10: Laptop keeps scrolling down

I have noticed a couple of problems after updating my system's windows 10 such as not been able to access my UEFI or format my system. However, the problems didn't pose a serious threat to productivity as the current problem. The end key function keeps activating by itself. Here's the catch, the end key is working properly. What I mean is the system keeps scrolling down as if you hit the end key. In excel, it keeps entering end mode. I can't type anything or look for a document in peace. I checked whether the end key was sensitive by placing my finger on it but it works fine. The problem stops

the scroll is not working on the touchpad, i have an ASUS S56C laptop and I have tried all the suggested steps, installing drivers, uninstalling touchpad dirvers, updating within device manager, etc...

nothing suggested worked.

New event. When placing cursor over a list or row of columns, even the volume bar scrolling is automatic and proceeds to one end of the series and stops. The scrolling also stops when I move the cursor away from the list but am unable to select anything in the list. Not all the possible lists are effected. Other sites have recommended mouse/kb fixes. Have tried all those but the phenomena persists. Have not had any known updates recently and don't have a restore point to try. Any other suggestions? W10Pro 1903
