Windows 10: Laptop keyboard acting strangely

Approximately once a week I encounter a frustrating issue: the laptop keyboard seems to go into a strange modeEvery application is affected, not just one. Caps is reversed - caps off = QWERTY caps on = qwertyALT+S in Notepad++ resulted in "Save as" vs opening the Search menu CTRL + ALT + S does result in "Save As" normallySingle cursor click on text results in selecting random blocks of text without holding anything downCtrl+Alt+Del does not work in this modeIt partially seems like CTRL is getting stuck, however that doesn't explain the capsI am quite certain I am not accidentally

Keyboard acting strange since Windows 10 update

Method 1: Update keyboard drivers.

  Device manager.
• Click on Keyboards.
• Right-click on the Keyboards and click on
  Update driver software.

Method 2: Hardware and Device troubleshooter.

• Press Windows Key + X key, Click on Control Panel.
• Type troubleshooting in the search bar, click on troubleshooting.
• Click on Hardware and Sound, click on Hardware and Devices.
• Follow the steps from the wizard to run the troubleshooter.

Keyboard acting strange lately

Hi,

I am using HP pavilion g6-2005AX laptop running on windows 10. Laptop's keyboard is behaving strange whenever I start system after a long interval e.g. one keystroke result in multiple entries, pressing of key "s" result in one "s" and multiple "x" and space
key act as enter key etc .

Everything gets back to normal after few minutes. I have noticed this happens mostly when laptop is cold and when it gets warm things gets back to normal. The weather is cold and damp outside. Although there is no direct contact with water, do you think
the moisture in air could be the culprit?

I have already tried updating driver and troubleshoot hardware. Everything looks fine.
