Windows 10: Laptop keyboard keeps locking on itself everytime i turned it on.

Hello! ok so this issue has started for a while now, but during the time i always uses the “hold ‘shift’ button” everytime i turn the laptop on. i once asked at a nearby computer store about this but they recommended me on formatting the laptop but this laptop has been with me for years i wouldn’t dare to format it. so now just wanted to know is it a bug or a virus or just an update glitch and help me on how to fix it. just wanted to know about some more expert opinions on this things. what are your thoughts?*im using the ASUS TUF A15 FA506II, Ryzen 5 4600H, GTX1650Ti.*i also used to use a c

Hi,

To address your concern, we suggest that you try the following steps:

• Click Start and then click Settings
• Click on Ease of access
• Click Keyboard in the left pane
• Turn off Filter Keys in the right pane

Also, try pressing the Fn+ Num Lock keys to turn off the Number lock function.

Let us know how it goes after performing the suggested steps.

 

Laptop FN Lock?

On non-number pad laptops, Num Lock must be turned OFF. The boss probably turned on Num Lock while using the external keyboard.

Most 15.6" and above 16:9 laptops have number pads these days.

I suffer with laptop locked unnecessarily,everytime need to reset the password from AD ,then its working for sometimes,

But after few hours still laptop locked .
