    Laptop locked up with error DistributedCOM


    The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID
    {8BC3F05E-D86B-11D0-A075-00C04FB68820}
    and APPID
    {8BC3F05E-D86B-11D0-A075-00C04FB68820}


    I get multiple such errors every day. Does Microsoft have a fix for this?

    DistributedCom 10016 permissions event error


    This is Dec 13 a.m. repeat series. The events from previous days in Dec. are now not listed in the Event viewer. This event is recorded at start up , repeats itself and then is not active for the rest of the day.
