Discus and support Laptop Locks After Login in Windows Hello & Lockscreen to solve the problem; Hi, Whenever I log in, my laptop stays on the desktop for an odd second or two before going back to the lock screen.     Hi, Whenever I log in, my laptop stays on the desktop for an odd second or two before going back to the lock screen. Please help me in resolving this issue.Thanks!

    Hi Josey -

    Thanks for the quick reply. While your suggestion does change the sign in process, it doesn't address the differing screenshot question. Following the steps doesn't make the login screenshot the same as the Lock screenshot. As I mentioned, I can't even find the screenshots being used for both screens.

    Still looking a solution to this. Open to any other suggestions you might have to the problem. Thanks!

    You can use your own image of any background and just go to settings/personalize/lock screen and click on browse as in the image below. It should make whatever picture you use as the Lock Screen

    This issue might occur, if the language has been changed on the lock screen.



    I would suggest you to try the below methods and check if it helps:

    Method 1: Change the language on the lock Screen.

    Follow the below steps:


    • Click the language on the bottom of the
      lock screen.

    • Select the English language and click
      Ok.

    • Put your password now and check if you are able to login.
    If the language option is not available on the bottom of o lock screen, then try method 2.



    Method 2: Use On Screen Keyboard.

    Follow the below steps;


    • Click on the Ease of access icon on the bottom of lock screen.

    • Select the On Screen Keyboard.

    • Type your password using On Screen Keyboard.
