Windows 10: Laptop Locks Up

I have a one month old Dell Inspiron 17-3000 laptop that locks up after the display times out. It doesn't go to sleep because the fan continues to run. I have to press the reset button down until the laptop turns off and then power up again. The power setting for my screen is 10 min and sleep is set to never. A week ago the problem was infrequent - maybe once a day, but now it seems to happen whenever the laptop is idle for more 20 minutes. It occurs whether or not there are any applications open. How do I resolve this?

PC Build Steps

Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval

• Install system in case
  • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
• Turn on PC
• setup HDD
• run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
  • run realtemp at the same time

• While in Prime95 test
  • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
  • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
  • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!

What do you guys think??

hey guys I'm trying to get clockgen to work on my laptop but can't get any of the plls to work, can you please post like exactly what steps I need to take to test each pll to see if it works? my specs are listed to the left
