Windows 10: laptop main/boot SSD moved to PC as internal secondary, Now SSD back to laptop the...

I didn't had my laptop charger, so unable to use it, I pulled out its SSD and inserted into my PC as internal but secondary drive meaing didnt boot the PC from this.i had a project in users -> Clion Projects, to access it I had to get folder permission.I used 2 programs Clion & IntelliJ from this SSD on PC. After getting my laptop charger, I put back my SSD to laptop, at first, many times i got Blue screen of death, saying "NTFS file System"after automatic disk repair, the windows booted.but now no Programs work such as Visual studio, Clion, IntelliJ and others ... even preinstall

Will that USB SSD always be connected to your PC?

If not, then you can set that USB SSD as the primary Boot device in BIOS, and the internal drive as the secondary boot device, that way, when the USB SSD is connected, your PC will boot from that and when it is not connected, your PC will boot form the internal
drive

If that USB SSD is going to be always connected, you would need to install GRUB or some other bootloader, to you are given the opportunity to choose a boot drive at startup

i do have the BIOS like this. ....

..... but the isb ssd won’t boot unless i do selecr it.

 

SSD stops and freezes laptop

Couple of updates:

1. I created a Linux boot USB key, and monitored my SSD under Linux, so this is evidently not a Windows issue, and
2. I loaded new firmware for the SSD, and my system seems to be functioning normally now. What a pleasure using a PC that doesn't consistently freeze up.
