Windows 10: Laptop malfunction (Dell Inspiration 1500)

Hello I have a technical issue relating my laptop,

My 1 year warrenty for my laptop recently overdued. It never had any malfuntions except for battery problems. Recently my laptop has been acting extremly strange. It wouldnt even start up, so I decided to run a Recovery Reset. And nothing worked. I changed batteries and it didnt effect the device so I concluded it wasnt the device itself. I never had any overload of malicious documents or large files. Nothing is working and I cant even consult the settings since half of the time the screen is frozen. I really dont want to buy a new device since in low on money. If anyone has any suggegtions or comments please message me. This is hard as a student not being able to use a critical device at school. My warrenty ran out on June 4th 2019 so i cant exchange my device even if i wanted to. Please and Thank you

RAM 8.00 GB

64-bit OS x64-based processor

Running Windows 8.1

The upgrade tool says, "We're validating Windows 10 for your PC." This is the message since the beginning of August.

The rig is on the list of up-gradable machines:

$1500 Small College Gaming Laptop

I suggest you get a cheap laptop and a real gaming rig... you can do that with 1500$... at worst you could make it micro or mini or something if you need ultra portability for your desktop...
