Windows 10: Laptop not asking for password when waking up from sleep.

My laptop is no longer asking for a password after waking up from sleep but when I restart it , it asks for password. The setting in the sign in settings is set to ask for a password after waking from sleep but it doesn't. I have PowerToys but I have Awake and Fancy Zones disabled, I've even went in the registry editor and deleted the ngc folder but the problem is still there. I've then reverted all power settings to default but still nothing. Please help me I don't know what else to do. I have even installed the windows repair version.

Computer doesn’t ask for password after waking from sleep

Windows does not ask for password after being in sleep mode. Require sign in is selected in stetting's for "When PC wakes up from sleep"

Windows 11 Not Asking for Password on Wake from Sleep

For some reason, even after changing options in GPEdit, the OS refuses to ask me for a password when I wake the computer from sleep (without first locking the computer).

For context, the user account is a local user account.

I tried following the instructions from Claudeeera on another post (obviously enabling these options instead of disabling) to enable requiring a password from sleep. This didn't work even after a reboot.




Is there a way to tell Windows 11 that I want a password to be required when waking the computer from a sleep state (without having to first lock the computer, reveal the password screen, then select sleep)?
