Windows 10: Laptop not recovering despite having bitlocker recovery key

After a recent update, dell XPS laptop is aking for BitLocker recovery key but even after putting the key it does not work and loops back with error 1. Even after putting recovery key, it says auto repair could not repair your PC 2. Via advance option if i go to the command prompt and run Manage-bde –Protectors –Disable C: Unlocked it with the command, but still after restarting same issue 3. Via advanced option, tried resetting the PC but did not work Looked at the forum but none of the suggestions work.I have really key personal data on my laptop that I don't want to lose

What puzzles me is why the Bitlocker recovery key is not listed on the microsoft account, but there is a recovery key listed there for a computer I do not recognise.

I have several laptops but only the HP Envy has had Bitlocker on it. So what key is this on my account? And why isn't the Envy key there?
