Windows 10: Laptop not returned

My company recently had a colleague working remotely. They have now left the company and not returned company property including laptop etc....We have the password, but location is off. Can it still be locked?I had removed it from My microsoft account thinking that it will be locked out, but i can now see that the laptop is showing on the microsoft account. password still in control with 2 factor authentication.What can be done to ensure that they can't log in to that user nor to the laptop at all How can I double check?The laptop is and has been off since then as well as location

- Are you able the see light when you turn on the laptop?

I suggest you to do a power drain by following the steps below.

• 
  Remove the battery.
  
• 
  Long press the power button for 15-20 seconds.
  
• 
  Start the computer by connecting the power source (battery should not be connected).
  
• 
  Check if the problem still persists while shutting down the computer.
  
• 
  If not, then connect the battery and can use the computer.
