Windows 10: Laptop not running games as it should.

So around 2018 I first bought this laptop from best buy, and for the whole year, it was working great up until I would say middle of 2019. Every single game I played would constantly stutter, by that I mean for the first couple of minutes while I was playing the game I would be getting a stable 60 frames per second, then as time went by it would be at 60 frames then drop to 30-40, it would repeat until I changed the graphic settings and had to make the game look horrible, and still, even then it would non stop stutter. I went to best buy where I bought it to see what the problem was and they said there was something wrong with the GPU and CPU, so I asked if they could fix it and so they did which cost about 700 dollars. So I got the laptop back and everything was working fine until a few months into the future everything was lagging again and I couldn't even run a simple game like Roblox. So I am asking all of you kindly for help as I cannot even play a game like Minecraft in good settings which is mind baffling. My specs are GPU: Radeon RX 580/ VRAM: 8192 MB/ CPU: IntelR CoreTM i7-7700HQ CPU/ 12 GB of ram.

I would suggest you to refer the below link and check the compatibility of the game with Windows 10.

You may also try installing the game in compatibility mode.
Follow these steps to install the game software in compatibility mode and check if that helps.

        Right-click on the game setup file and click on
        ‘properties’.
        
      • 
        Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box
        ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select Windows 8 operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation. Once this is done, restart the computer and check if the issue persists.
        

If the issue still persists, I would suggest you to get in touch with the game manufacturer if it’s specific to that particular game.

- When you say 'ive tried troubleshooting', what are you referring to?

- Did you check in compatibility mode?

I suggest to run the game in compatibility mode by following the steps below and check if it helps.

  Right click on the ‘Setup’ icon for the game and click on properties.
  
• 
  Under Compatibility tab, check the option for ‘Run in Compatibility mode’.
  
• 
  Select Windows 8.1 from the drop down list.
  
• 
  Click on Apply and then OK.

Will also run on your laptop. And the list is quite long plus most of those that are listed as "not working" will most probably work on your laptop.
