Windows 10: Laptop not turning on after windows 11 update

Hello,Over the school holidays I have been using my Lenovo laptop with windows 10 mainly for playing games. Last night I turned off my laptop by clicking update and shut down and now it wont turn on. When I press the power button the screen doesn’t turn on but keyboard light turn on and I can hear my fans or something turn on for about 5 seconds then the fans and keyboard lights turn off for about 20 seconds then turn back on again.I really need this fixed asap because school starts back tomorrow and I will be needing it then.

To turn off windows updates in windows 7 follow these steps:

Click the start button, in the search box type in 'windows updates', click on 'windows update'
in the search results list, in the left side of the windows update window click 'change settings'
then in the option bar select 'Never check for updates'.

 

Can't upload photos with IE 11 and Windows 10

I would suggest you to turn off and turn on Internet Explorer 11 and check

To turn off and turn on Internet Explorer 11 follow the steps given below

• Click the Start button,
• click Control Panel, click Programs and Features,
  
• And then click Turn Windows features on or off. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
• Clear the check box for Internet Explorer 11 to turn it off, and then click
  Yes.
• Click OK and, when prompted, restart your PC.

Once the computer restarts, follow steps 1-3 again from the above mentioned steps
and check the check box for Internet explorer to turn it on and then click
” Yes” and Click OK ,when prompted restart the computer. And check if issue persists.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
