Windows 10: Laptop not working after new Windows update

Hi! I'm new here, I don't know if this was posted before, I scrolled a bit but couldn't find anything on my problem. 2 days ago I was notified about a new Windows update, I postponed it, but yesterday I started my laptop at around 13:40 but did not start as it needed to upgrade. I was like "okay, cool, I'll do something else 'till it upgrades" but it took too long. The upgrade took 11 hours and I'm not exaggerating. Okay, in the end it finished upgrading, but now my windows doesn't boot. If I shut the laptop down and open it again, it starts normally, but after it logs me in, the screen is black and there is only the cursor that's working. I can press ctrl+alt+del, it shows me the menu, but if I press the Task Manager option, nothing happens. It closes that menu and the screen is black. Any tips, please? I'm new to Windows 10, coming from Windows 7 and I regret it so much lmao

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
