Windows 10: Laptop overheating and possibly crashing when closed

    Laptop overheating and possibly crashing when closed


    Whenever i shut the lid my ASUS vivabook OLED 15' laptop the next morning when i go to open it back up the next day, it is significantly hotter than it should be and when opened the laptop stays on a black screen and doesn't respond to anything that might wake it up clicking power button, typing, moving mouse around etc. I have to manually hold down the power button for full shutdown and restart it. does anyone know what the cause of this problem is and what possible solutions there are to fix it? Thank you in advance!

    Oxymoron that is.... Your saying doubtful it would overheat but recommend he blows the dust with compressed air and recommend a laptop cooler. Now thats hilarious. Just saying.... I think you just said what I did but took the mantainence a step further.

    Hello hello peeps

    So, today my laptop overheated. I wanted to test a game benchmark at max settings, it overheated and turned off.

    How long should I wait until all the components will be at their lowest possible normal temperatures and the machine will be o-k to use again?
