Windows 10: Laptop password

Discus and support Laptop password in Windows Hello & Lockscreen to solve the problem; Have just factory reset my laptop and given it to my son.     Laptop password


    Have just factory reset my laptop and given it to my son. He can't get into it asking for password, he lives 200 miles away so I can't get there to try and sort it out. What password would it be asking for? Usually it ask for passcode but factory reset should take it back to first time. Any ideas. Thanks in anticipation.

    How can I find the password for my Windows 10 laptop?

    I found a solution to my problem. What I did was:
    1. Open Network & Sharing Center on the laptop.
    2. Click "Change advanced sharing settings"
    3. Expand the "All Networks" item.
    4. Change "Password protected sharing" from On to Off.

    Now when I click my laptop name in File Explorer > Networks, it just shows my shared folder without asking for a network credentials password. This is how it used to work before.
