Windows 10: Laptop power button doesn't go into sleep mode

In control panel, everything is set to sleep. The power button, sleep button or when I close the laptop, it is set to "sleep". Everything works fine but the power button.




Fn + F4 buttons is set as the "sleep button" and it works every time I do it, also closing the laptop lid not sure if it's called lid also works but pressing the power button doesn't do anything.


Pressing it when laptop is off turns it on. Also when I long press it when it's on, it also forces it to shut down so the only thing that doesn't work is when I short-press the power button, it should go to sleep because it is set to "sleep" in the control panel but it doesn't work.



Why is it not working? How can I fix it? Thanks.


It's a different language so let me just say this; uyku means "sleep" so everything is set to sleep.

Same on my HP. You just tap and release really quick to put to sleep and button will start blinking when sleeping. Can then shut lid and remains in sleep mode and will wake on lid open.

 

No off button when in sleep mode

For issues with sleep mode and power options follow the steps provided below.

Run the Power troubleshooter and check.

Follow the steps to run the troubleshooter:

• Open Control Panel.
• Type Troubleshooting in search and click
  Troubleshooting.
• Now type Power in the search option.
• Click on Power troubleshooter to run.

I would suggest you to try updating the Display driver and check if the issue persists. If you already have all the latest drivers from Windows updates, then I would suggest you to visit the computer manufacturer's website, download and install the latest
drivers in compatibility mode and check.
