Windows 10: Laptop randomly crashes with BSoD with different errors, restarts instantly, errors like...

BSOD driver_verifier_iomanager error

Hey all,

Wonder if anyone can help me with this error i keep getting on my laptop. It started completely randomly a few days ago and now i cannot boot the laptop normally at all. It goes into the bsod the restart loop until eventually attempting start up repair which also fails.

However, I can boot into safe mode just fine which leads me to believe as the error code suggests that it is indeed a driver issue with something. Thing is I have not to my knowledge installed anything new for some time so am unsure what driver could possibly be the issue here. I'm also clueless as to how to track down what is causing the error or if there are any logs i could check.

Does anyone have any experience with this error. I've ran memory diagnostics and checked the stability of my ssd and all seems fine there so am I right to assume that because it boots to safe mode fine the problem must be on the software side and not a hardware fault?

Any help would be much appreciated as I'm currently living away from my english speaking home somewhere finding a trustworthy computer repair shop isn't at all a walk in the park.

computer randomly rebooting no bsod but with a bios error message

Ok but y would it also crash when it was idle? The first time it crashed I just powered it on from a cold boot I walked away from my pc for about 10 to 15 minutes and when I came back it had crashed and restarted itself but there was no error messages in the bios at that time.

Now 1 thing I forgot to mention and I do apologize for it about a month ago my pc crashed with a bsod with an nv4 display driver error.

Now I didn't update my drivers til after the random restarts started happening. And when I did I made sure to delete every piece of nvidia software off my pc and started it all fresh.

This is issue is driving me up a wall I have never had an issue like this b4 with a compute

And a cpl of days ago I was able to play fallout 3 for hrs with no crashing.

+1 to listing your full system specs, OS version, etc. I did only look at your BSOD log file.

Run a Diskchk /R (I know you already ran one, so you can skip this)

Run SFC /SCANNOW

Report back.
