Windows 10: Laptop randomly stops detecting sound outputs from 2 external monitors.

I have a Lenovo Thinkpad laptop with Windows 11 and I'm using 2 external monitors connected via USB-C one of USB-C inputs in my laptop is Thunderbolt. Normally, I prefer to have my sound from one of the monitors but recently, my laptops randomly stops detecting them. If I'm not working with anything that uses sound, the laptop stops detecting external speakers of monitors and switches to its own speakers. Also happens if I turn it on or wake from sleep. However, when that happens and I unplug and plug the cables again, external monitors sound systems are again visible.When this happens they'

If you're trying to use a wired external monitor is it connected to the laptop's HDMI output connector or the mini DisplayPort connector?

If you're using a wired external monitor and don't see any output, right-click on an empty spot on the Desktop and select Screen Resolution -> Detect

In addition, you may need to press the F7 key and select the mode in which the display will function. There are 4 modes:

• Disconnect (or Computer only): display only on the laptop's screen
• Duplicate: the same display on the laptop's screen and the external monitor
• Extend: extends the output so that you can drag things from one screen to the other
• Projector only (or Second Screen Only): displays only on the external monitor

Or are you trying to use wireless (Wi-Di or Miracast)?

Hello, Im trying to output my PC sound to my dual monitor setup (HP VH240a x2)

I've tried enabling the stereo mixer in windows and replaying to the second monitor and even used a direct audio jack instead but nothing.

Also, I tried NVIDIA's Control Panel and enabled surround but it doesnt work

Pc specs : ROG-STRIX-RTX2060-6G-GAMING

Intel i5-9600k

Gigabyte Z390 AORUS PRO WIFI

 

Laptop can't detect external monitor

Sorry for the late response, but if I do not have another PC, is the only option to wait to get the new updates and within those new updates, my laptop will be able to detect my external monitor.

It might sound rude and if so I'm sorry because you're the expert here and I barely know anything about computers but my external monitor worked perfectly until I rested my laptop. Do you think it has something to do with that because if the version 1803
made my laptop unable to detect my external monitor, shouldn't my monitor not work from the beginning, before I rested my laptop but now it did. Only after the reset made it so my laptop was unable to detect my external monitor.

So do you think the reset maybe deleted some files so that my laptop no longer is able to detect my monitor?
