    Well, pretty much the title. I'm a Technical IT engineer and as I experienced for modern laptops it's often wiser to use full-windows experiece than home editions. Windows update kept me bugging that the support for this version is being dropped so it'd be wise of me if I upgraded. Given I had to upgrade why not change for a more feature rich 64 bit version I though. Now it feels like this wasn't the greatest idea for the laptop shuts down every so often. I can feel it overheating just as I type on it having it laid on my legs. Been searching around forums for answer but they're quite old. 2-5 years old and Windows have changed quite a lot since then. Even if I followed suggestions that felt still relevant and functional the issue still persist. I've also modified energy schemes without much improvement. Anyone else had similar experience/issue? How did you solve it? Thank you for all the help in advance.

    Windows 10 (32 bit to 64 bit)

    My laptop came pre-installed with Window 7 (32 bit) . I later upgraded it to windows 10 (32 bit) through online upgrade. So now I have windows 10 (32 bit) in my system. I want to upgrade it to 64 bit architecture. I also enquired about this from Microsoft
    customer care. I was told that I will have to first go back to windows 7 and reinstall it in 64 bit architecture . Then I will be able to upgrade to windows 10 (64 bit). I have with me the recovery discs which I was instructed to make when I bought my laptop,
    but I am not sure whether I will get the option of installing windows 7 in 64 bit version.Kindly suggest what is the right procedure?

    reinstalling windows 10 pro 32/64 bit over windows 10 home 64 bit will load as 64 bit?

    Hello I have laptop with only 4 mg ram. I want to install 32 bit version of windows 10 pro.

    No matter what I have tried it will not let me boot with the 32 bit version. With the 64 bit is not an issue .
