Windows 10: Laptop repeatedly crashes, I was wondering if there is a fix for it?

    Laptop repeatedly crashes, I was wondering if there is a fix for it?


    My laptop wont stop crashing, the screen with either turn fully/partially black or the screen will freeze becoming distorted by many ineligible green numbers and letters and then make and static like noise. Following these crashes I have noticed in the event viewer under windows log in system event id 10016 occurring at the time of every single crash as a warning and occasionally event id 610 as an error. I have tried looking at my temp. as well following a crash and it typically is very high and then drops down to the 50-60 F. range. Unsure if the laptop actually reaches that high 80-90 F. ra

    W1zzard is asking you to test so that he can suggest next steps and be able to troubleshoot the issue you have.
    If another version works, it would be one set of steps.
    If several other versions also fail/crash, then it would be another.

    I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
    Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
    What happens?
    If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

    P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
    Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
    What X1800XT model do you own exactly?
