    Laptop running very hot and sluggish, even a while after start up


    I have been having this problem for a while now, but haven't found a solution to this yet. Every time after I start up my laptop, the CPU temperature instantly goes to 95°C and the performance is not great. Stuttering animations and even my mouse pointer on screen is skipping frames! You would think it's just the laptop getting itself ready in the background, since it wasn't in a sleep mode, but unfortunately it wouldn't cool down and the performance wouldn't improve either. I did find that only if I restarted my laptop after this, the temperatures went down and the performance was better. But

    Hm. That's... interesting. Last month I reported on a problem where Windows hung, and Reliability Monitor showed a "Hardware error" and a bunch of errors from dwm.exe and Desktop Window Manager. Today it happened again. Last month it happened on 11/29, today is 12/29. Coincidence? Seems unlikely, but... It did NOT happen at the same time.

    I ran the Extensive Tests for 11 hours. No errors.
