    Laptop Screen Becomes Pale Suddenly


    Hello,

    I have an acer aspire laptop, windows 10. I have recently bought it and I noticed I am facing an issue with the screen brightness.

    Whenever I open an application, for example a pdf with a white background, or google chrome with a white background, I notice that the white has a yellowish tint. It is not completely yellow, but also not completely white. I have to press the brightness keys f3 and f4 multiple times for the brightness to be adjusted and become fully white even though it was originally set on 100 brightness. Note: I have the night light mode turned off, and also the battery saver turned off.

    This also happens when I switch from my desktop which has a blue background to anything that has a white background. The white shade looks pale and not very bright. I tried changing my background color but I still have the same issue.

    It is extremely annoying and I do not know how to fix it. I appreciate the help.

    I would like suggestions and look in local stores. I dont wanna buy a laptop from someone online. Sorry. But could be a good idea if you asked him about the performance on older games. Gonna make a list ofall laptops people suggest me.

    Remove the screen for space purpose here its small desk and if the screen is opened it will hide my 22 inches lcd

    Looking for help with laptop screen

    It's quite easy to replace a screen, try to find a disassembly guide for the specific model of laptop so you have a step by step indication of where to take screws out and what clips to unclip. There might be some youtube videos as well. Always make sure the replacement screen is compatible as there can be different connectors.

    My wide screen laptop suddenly became 1024x768

    I have a laptop called Acer aspire 5732zg with windows 10.

    i was sitting in front of my laptop, checking my phone. it happened SUDDENLY, i did NOTHING!

    It became 1024 x 768 but it was 1366 768 (wide screen). When i check the screen settings, only 1024 768 and 800 600 listed, theres nothing like 1366 768.

    what can i do? thanks
