Laptop screen does not turn on fully black at all and cooling fan starts speeding up...

Hello! Yesterday i made a forum post with my sisters laptop not turning on https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/laptop-has-no-power-and-wont-turn-on-even-if/f5568714-6099-4bf9-85b7-403777751aba <-- view full post here after sometime it turned back on without doing anything to it, just let it sit there The problem that is happening now is that the laptop turns on, the "caps lock" and "num lk num lock " flash/ blink for like 5 times then stop, after that the fans start speeding up and the screen remains black / totally offand the two button right side the on

    :)

    Cooling external Fan

    Hi Paul,

For us to isolate the issue with your external fan, please provide the following information:

    • When did the issue start?
    • Have you tried connecting other USB external devices to your laptop? If yes, what was the result?
    • Have you tried connecting your external fan to another computer?

We're looking forward to your reply.

  3. Laptop cooling fan problem

Device model - HP pavilion notebook

    Problem:

My laptop cooling fans are not running at the same speed.

Fan 1 is always over 2000rpm

Fan 2 is always below 300rpm

Is this a problem? If yes, how should I sort it out?

Cooling Fan starts and the stop

I have recently encountered the problem that my cooling fan starts for some seconds and then turns off. Due to overheating laptop shows BSOD errors like Kernel Security exception Failure, Kmode thread not handled etc. I am not getting what the exact problem
is. Is it with fan or something else? Should I change my fan?
